Technical sales engineer

During my studies to obtain my diploma of chemical engineer from Mulhouse, I had the opportunity to work for one year in Dow Chemicals in the Netherlands. I followed this by studying Marketing & Economy for one year in the IAE (Institute of Company Administration) of Dijon. This course permitted me to complete my knowledge in this domain and opened new doors, thanks to my competence in two areas: Technical and Marketing. I had my first job in the sales domain in an analysis laboratory, before having my present position.
Today, I am a Technical Sales Engineer in a famous international company. My function of Bio-pharmaceutical and Chromatography Specialist consists in promoting Merck Chimie products (a chemical group which produces the raw materials for the pharmaceutical, agro-food, technical and cosmetic industries). I also bring technical support to the clients and to certain of our daughter companies in foreign countries which do not have a specialist.
It is my chemical engineering knowledge which helped open doors in employment in technical sales, because it permitted me to better understand the desires and constraints of my clients.
